1930’s Vintage Dressed White Rabbit in original clothes
– 18″ tall made by Gund
– while he does not retain ID, he has all the characteristics of the rabbits produced in the earlier part of the 20th century by Gund, this one appearing to be from the 1930’s, maybe 1940’s
– He’s a dapper fellow, dressed in his original clothing including his felt jacket and breeches, a cotton with lace ascot, and a white felt cummerbund
– some of his clothing is attached with small safety pins, typical for these bunnies
– he is made of a white silky fur
– he has glass eyes that have a large, pink center in clear glass.
– Nose and mouth are stitched in pink
– his cloth lower body is stitched together to look like boots with spats over them; it looks great with the breeches (I’ll try to find a piece of lace to replace the missing tie at the one knee)
– he is straw or wood wool stuffed
-.Feels like he’s stuffed with straw or straw-like material.
– he is unjointed
– he has glass eyes that have a large, pink center in clear glass.
– clear whiskers
– the wired ears stand well; they are lined in pink
– nice addition to your collection – great for an Easter display too!!
– Give the age of this piece – close to 90 – 100 years old – he’s in good shape. He could benefit from some gentle cleaning. He’s a near-duplicate in my collection so I thought I’d list him. These really are something!
