Schuco Bigo Bello Boy Rabbit
Dressed Bunny Doll
part of the wonderful Hegi Production line of dressed animals
made by Schuco in West Germany of the 1950’s/1960’s era
– retains ID: white Schuco foot seam tag (with red writing)
– He’s about 18″ tall including ears/ 45 cm size
– made of mohair and cloth
– he has a tan mohair head and arms with white face; longer tan mohair cheeks, ears and paws; white cotton tail attached to the back of his pants
– as with all of the boys, his body and legs are made of red and white striped cotton cloth
– he is unjointed but his arms and legs are bendy with wires enclosed within the limbs; the wires move well without any breaks or kinks
– brown and black eyes
– clear crisp filament whiskers;
– pink and brown stitched nose and mouth
– airbrushed eyebrow accents on his face
– flannel lined mohair ears with light pink accent – this bunny’s ears are floppy as most of them are (there are no wires or other internal scaffolding) – it does not distract from this handsome guy
– he has all his original clothes:
—- red rib knit short sleeve shirt
—- green cotton pants
– Excelsior stuffed head and his body is firm enough to stand erect when it leans against something
– working belly squeaker
– I’ll be listing other Bigo Bello pieces over the next week or so – including a smaller girl and a girl in this size
– nice addition to your collection – great for an Easter display too!!
– Very nice vintage condition, very little mohair wear, clothes are in good order; floppy ears as they usually are – a great piece overall
– While of the Schuco Bigo Bello Hegi flexi dressed animals, and rabbits are the most common, I’ve been listing some really nice ones this week –
