1952 Vintage Hermann Teddy Baby Standing Bear – 12″ Tall – Caramel Mohair – Open Mouth

Vintage “Baby-Stehbaren mit Offenem Maul” Teddy Bear by Hermann Teddy Original
– “Standing baby with open mouth” (reference: Das groBe Teddy-Hermann-Buch, 2008)
– I believe he is a series 00082 bear which came in a 22 and 27 cm size in this caramel mohair
– he is 12+” standing 9+” sitting – I think he’s a 27 cm although that doesn’t line up with most of Hermann’s sizing; the 82 series bear was the only bear that looked like him and even without ID he’s Hermann
– the 27 cm baby was produced only from 1952-1955, the 22 cm was manufactured from 1952 through 1972
– he is 5-way jointed and does stand on his own
– all 4 paw pads are peachy-beige felt; this felt also lines his mouth
– he has black embroidered claws, nose and upper lip outline
– he originally had a chain connected from a collar to his right lower lip – during its removal, there was some damage to his lip someone tried to repair (I’ve included a picture of his mouth; there is also a 2mm circular divot in the felt as well that you’ll see)
– his caramel mohair is of the short, bristly variety
– he has brown/black eyes
– he is in good to very good condition – his one foot has a worn spot but nothing is coming through; he is missing his collar and chain; there is damage and a repair from being ‘freed’ from his chain, but any Teddy Baby is an awesome Bear to have!!!
